I've been trying to get this done in time to enter in a local show and I think I'm finally there. A few last touches here and there and I think its done. Some of the spottiness is due to differnt levels of gloss that we'll take care of in the final varnish. This painting was a little more fun because I tried a little different method - I didn't do any pre drawing - started by painting the bottom of the hat and worked out the rest.
Asher wants me to be all done.
He has actually been very accomadating - he just plays in the hallway and talks to me through the gate most of the time.

Very cool Matt! I love you work!
your work is what I meant
We're all blown away that you started with the bottom of the hat. For those of us who don't paint or draw or anything like unto it....that seems amazing. Love all the newest pictures and videos. Everyone but me and dad have a webcam or whatever on their computers. I'll check into skype.
XOXO Mom
Awesome picture Matt. Nice rack Heide :)
Matty- Your talent is truly amazing.
Ps.. I am still waiting for my painting of Satchel and Asher.
Sooo... Just so you know - I painted over that one. It is under the one your looking at here.
Well.. I suppose that's okay. You can always paint me another!
Matthew:
I LOVE the new painting. I would like to buy it (after the art show) if you would like to sell it. I have room on my office walls for another masterpiece. How big is it?
Joel
This is so grand! The sweater and hat are quintessential Heide. I love you all.
